Terms of use
The terms that apply when you use UK Golf Courses, Ireland Golf Courses and this website.
Last updated: October 2026
These terms (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you (“you”, “your”) and Online Teetimes Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, or, if you live in Ireland, Online Teetimes Limited, a company registered in Ireland (in each case “Online Teetimes”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Online Teetimes runs the UK Golf Courses and Ireland Golf Courses websites and apps (the “Apps”) and this website (the “Site”). These Terms govern your use of the Apps and the Site. By using them, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy policy, and to follow all laws that apply to your use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Apps or the Site.
We may change these Terms. We will tell you about changes in the Apps and by email, and the new Terms take effect when they are posted. If you break these Terms, we may end your use of the Apps, stop you using them in future and take legal action where appropriate.
1. The Apps
- The Apps are for finding, booking and paying for tee times and related golf services, and for managing your account.
- The Apps let you, among other things, use booking and payment features, location features, notifications, partner offers and loyalty schemes, and account management tools.
- The Apps are available on the web, from Apple’s App Store and from Google Play (together, the “App Stores”). The terms of the App Store or browser you use (the “Usage Rules”) also apply. Apple, Google and browser providers are not responsible for the Apps or their content.
2. Your licence to use the Apps
- The Apps are licensed, not sold, to you. Online Teetimes and its licensors keep all rights not expressly given to you in these Terms.
- We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited and revocable licence to use the Apps on devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules.
- You may not use the Apps on devices you do not own or control, or make them available over a network where several devices could use them at once.
- You may not rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute or sublicense the Apps.
- You may not copy (except as these Terms and the Usage Rules allow), decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, try to derive the source code of, modify or create derivative works of the Apps or any part of them, except where the law allows it. Doing so breaches our rights and those of our licensors.
- These Terms apply to any updates to the Apps, unless an update comes with its own licence.
- We may change, suspend or stop any part of the Apps at any time, and may limit features or restrict your access.
3. Your account and information
- When you enter personal information in the Apps, such as your name, email address, phone number, address, location, payment details or details from linked accounts (“User Information”), you agree to us, our service providers and our partners using it to run the Apps and as described in our Privacy policy.
- You are responsible for keeping your User Information and login details confidential and secure.
- You will not give false information, or create an account for anyone else without their permission.
- You will not create more than one personal account, and if we disable your account you will not create another without our permission.
- You must be 18 or over to use the Apps.
- You will not use the Apps if you are in a country subject to UK, EU or UN sanctions, or if you appear on any sanctions or restricted-party list.
- You will keep your contact details accurate and up to date.
- You will not share your password, let anyone else use your account, transfer your account without our written permission, or do anything that could put the security of any account at risk.
- If you choose a username, we may remove or reclaim it where we think it appropriate, for example if a trade mark owner complains.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. If you think someone has used your account without permission, tell us straight away.
- To change or correct information we hold about you, contact us at hello@onlineteetimes.co.uk.
4. Content and conduct
- You are responsible for any content you create or publish in the Apps, and you confirm you own it or have permission to share it, including from anyone featured in it.
- You will not publish or send anything through the Apps that:
- is hateful, defamatory, discriminatory, obscene or violent, or encourages crime or self-harm;
- infringes anyone’s intellectual property;
- bullies, harasses, threatens or otherwise violates anyone’s rights;
- is unlawful, fraudulent, malicious, misleading or deceptive;
- is unauthorised advertising or spam;
- breaks any law or these Terms.
- You will not:
- use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access the Apps;
- introduce viruses or other harmful code;
- try to damage, overload or interfere with the Apps or any servers or networks, for example through a denial-of-service attack;
- try to gain unauthorised access to any system, network or account.
- We may remove any content from the Apps, and are under no obligation to publish or use content you submit.
- We may suspend or end your access, remove information and take other action available to us if we believe you have broken these Terms, the law or anyone’s rights. We may release information about you where the law requires it.
5. Messages and mobile charges
- We send booking messages free of charge, but your mobile provider’s normal charges for data and messages still apply.
- If you change or cancel your mobile number, update your account within 48 hours so messages are not sent to whoever gets your old number.
6. Bookings and payments
- Tee times in the Apps are provided by golf clubs. We sell them on the clubs’ behalf, and your round is played under the club’s own rules and conditions.
- Payments are taken when you book, through the App Store you downloaded the Apps from or through our third-party payment providers (each a “Payment Processor”). By paying, you agree that their services may be used to process your payment and that their terms also apply. You may need an account with them to complete a purchase. We are not responsible for the conduct of App Stores or Payment Processors.
- A small verification charge may be made to check that a card is valid.
- We accept Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards. The price and currency shown when you book are the amount charged to your card and shown on your receipt.
- The cancellation rules for each booking are shown before you pay. Except as stated in those rules, these Terms or where the law requires otherwise, bookings are final and non-refundable. Tee time bookings are for a specific date and time, so the 14-day cancellation right for distance purchases does not apply. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method.
- We do not store full card details, and we never sell, rent or lease your card details or personal information to third parties.
- We do not trade with, or provide services to, any person or organisation subject to UK, EU or UN sanctions.
- You may keep copies of payment confirmations for your own records. You may not copy, publish or distribute other material from the Apps, or deep-link into them, without our permission.
- You may not use the Apps for commercial purposes, such as selling goods or services or making commercial offers, without our written consent.
7. Credit, rewards and partner offers
- Some Apps offer account credit (“App Credit”). It is shown in your account and can be used alone or with other payment methods for eligible bookings.
- Unused App Credit expires after one year and cannot be exchanged for cash or used in any other way. We will remind you by app notification and email before credit expires.
- We may add credit to your account from time to time, for example as cashback on eligible bookings. It is added once payment has been taken successfully.
- Points from partner reward programmes, such as HEKA, can be converted into credit on UK Golf Courses and Ireland Golf Courses. Once converted, they are App Credit under these Terms. The partner’s own terms apply to the points before conversion.
- Partner offers, such as discounts for Sky VIP members, are subject to eligibility and to the partner’s terms, and may change or end.
- Where you earn points with a partner programme, they are based on what you actually pay, excluding any App Credit used.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of partner reward programmes.
8. Intellectual property and your content
- You keep ownership of content you upload, such as photos and videos. By uploading it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to use it in connection with our Services.
- Deleted content may remain in backups for a reasonable period, but will not be available to others.
- We welcome feedback and may use it without any obligation to you.
- The Apps and the Site, including their content, features, design and software, are owned by Online Teetimes and its licensors and protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws. You may not copy or reuse any part of them without our written permission, except as these Terms allow.
- Names and logos in the Apps may be trade marks of their owners. Nothing in these Terms gives you any right to use them.
9. Third-party services and links
- The Apps may link to, or include content from, third-party websites and services, including golf clubs and partners. These may have their own terms.
- We are not responsible for third-party content, websites or services, and do not endorse them. They are provided for convenience only.
- Location and course information is for general guidance only and should not be relied on where accuracy is critical.
- Third-party services may not be available in every country. If you use them, you are responsible for following local laws.
10. Device access and advertising
- Some features, such as location or uploading photos, need access to information on your device. By using them, you agree to that access. You can manage it in your browser or device settings, or by uninstalling the Apps.
- Our use of cookies and similar technologies is explained in our Privacy policy.
- The Apps may contain advertising and sponsorship. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for their own material, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
11. Our liability
- Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights.
- Subject to that, we are not liable for:
- content published in the Apps by other users or third parties;
- content you submit not being published because of technical problems;
- problems with any device, software or internet connection, or damage to your device or software from using the Apps;
- loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption or other business losses;
- errors, interruptions, delays, viruses, unauthorised access or other events outside our reasonable control.
- If something outside our control affects the Apps, we may suspend, change or stop them, and may stop anyone who tampers with them from using them.
- Your mobile provider may charge you for data or messages when you use the Apps. We are not responsible for those costs.
12. Warranties and indemnity
- We provide the Apps and their content “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that the Apps will meet your needs, be uninterrupted or error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
- We make no promise about the accuracy or reliability of information submitted by other users.
- You agree to indemnify Online Teetimes and its affiliates, officers, staff and partners against any third-party claim, loss or liability, including reasonable legal costs, arising from your misuse of the Apps or your breach of these Terms.
13. Privacy
How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy policy.
14. Apple
- If the iOS version of the Apps fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund any purchase price you paid for it. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the Apps.
- Apple is not responsible for investigating or settling any claim that the Apps infringe a third party’s intellectual property.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
15. Law and disputes
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland, Northern Ireland or Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the protection of the consumer laws where you live.
- If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- Headings are for convenience only and do not affect the meaning of these Terms.
16. Contact us
